Hello! My name is Dana and this is The Funky Kitchen.
It’s my goal here to be an intrepid food explorer. I’m looking to try a recipe that is just a little bit different from what I’ve seen before, or something I’ve never tried. The opportunities are ceaseless. Food should be fun and interesting, in both preparation and eating. I’m a really big fan of dipping; food you can dip is always a lot of fun.
My technique is not by any means perfect, but it’s always improving. If I can make the things posted up here, I promise that you can too!
I’m in a deep kind of love with pears, chocolate, thyme, gravy, brie, potatoes, oh and Mister too! He generally makes his appearances at the end of posts to give his review of what’s been coming out of the kitchen.
My chef crushes are Anthony Bourdain and Nigella Lawson.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m known to enjoy a good book, a cup of tea (or two), dancing, swimming and learning new things. I really don’t know what else to include here, but if there’s anything you want to know, ask away.
